GREEN TRAVEL POLICY
The King’s Centre operates a Green Travel Policy, working in partnership with Oxford City Council to reduce traffic congestion and benefit the local community. This involves start and finish times. We also offer complimentary parking for a proportion of the delegate numbers.
PARK AND RIDE
There are 5 Park & Ride services operating around Oxford, with easy access from the motorways. The nearest is the Seacourt, just off the A34 Botley Interchange. The next most convenient is the Thornhill, on the east side of the city. Parking and journey fees apply. Please check the Park and Ride website for most current prices. Buses run every 15-20 minutes. You will need to get off at the Osney Island bus stop on Botley Road, from where The King’s Centre is just a 5-10 minute
CYCLING
The King’s Centre provides undercover and secure bicycle racks for visitors. If you cycle round Oxford or would like to bring your bike on the train. (Showers available.)
WALKING
If you live in Oxford and prefer to walk, The King’s Centre can be accessed by the Thames towpath from Folly Bridge or Osney Island.
BY BUS
The nearest bus stop to The King’s Centre is the Osney Island stop on Botley Road, from where The King’s Centre is just a 5-10 minute walk along the Thames towpath (marked by a dotted line on our map). Botley Road is served by a variety of local buses – you can get on any number 4, S1 or U1 bus.
BY RAIL
The King’s Centre is just a 10 – 15 minute walk from Oxford rail station or Connection by 001 Taxi, 01865 240000.
FROM LONDON HEATHROW/GATWICK
There are regular coach services from these airports and bus stops around London to the Gloucester Green coach station in Oxford City Centre, from where The King’s Centre is just a 15 – 20 minute walk.
